About Claire Armitage

Claire Armitage is a fine art and documentary photographer based in Manchester. Winner of a British Photography Award 2019. Her passion in photography has always been towards people and their stories, and the ‘why’ and ‘how’. Whether narrative, portraiture, documentary or street, her work is characterized by an honest, observational approach, sometimes delivered with humour, but always with a desire to evoke emotion.
