Hit The Streets 189: Quarantine in Queens... A Year Later with Neil Kramer

Valerie Jardin May 27, 2021

IN THIS EPISODE…

Valerie talks with New York City photographer Neil Kramer about his pandemic project Quarantine in Queens. It's been a year since their original conversation in episode 164. The project is still going and, as life is slowly returning to normal, Neil shares his anxiety about finally unmasking and possibly putting an end to the series.

BIO

Neil Kramer is a New York-born photographer based in Queens, New York.  His passion for storytelling brought him to Los Angeles to study filmmaking at USC Film School, and he worked in Los Angeles for many years in writing and script development.  When he returned to his hometown of New York, he became active in street photography.  Through an unusual conversion of events, Neil recently found himself in a a pandemic lockdown with both his mother and his ex-wife, and has been using photography as a way of personal expression, using staged scenarios to recreate actual events, much like in a movie.
